Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox made it through on an allowance for students working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy about her performances as compared to the performance of her peers. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. The group did not appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. The main part of her role was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. The band she was in, was met by Dave Stewart. Together they created the Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox started working on Diva in 1992. It was her debut album as a solo artist. The album was a massive hit, both in terms of selling and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was launched in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. This E.P. First album of hers, Now I Letting You Go... It is an accompaniment to her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a music producer and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when members the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox began her own solo career when she released her debut album Diva in 1992. This was the source of several hit songs, including Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It features cover versions of songs like No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six album compilations and studio albums.
